Maybo: Managing Conflict

Maybo Newsletter

Welcome to Maybo's third e-newsletter.

We are delighted to inform you that Maybo conflict management training is now accredited by City & Guilds.

Maybo, the UK leader in conflict management consultancy, is the first organisation to have its courses on violence prevention accredited by City & Guilds.

Bill Fox, chairman of Maybo said: "This will give our clients extra value, and further confidence in the quality of our training."

According to City & Guilds' head of national business development, Edwina McQueen: "More employers with external customer facing staff are waking up to the need for sound conflict management training in order to equip their staff with the skills they need to deflect and defuse verbal or physical abuse.

"One of the best conflict management programmes that we have come across is that devised by Maybo. It not only covers this difficult area with sensitivity but is innovative in its approach and delivery."

City & Guilds accredits training when it is of a high quality and delivered by competent staff; caters to the need of the audience and shows innovation. Fox adds: "Maybo always strives to give the best possible product to its customers - so we are always in a state of learning and development ourselves."

Maybo's conflict management training is tailored to the specific needs of the delegates, and covers a range of skills that can improve safety for staff and lead to better customer care and satisfaction. Frontline staff learn how to better assess the situation for signs of danger and how to defuse potential incidents. Managers are guided through establishing safer policies and working practices that will minimise risks to staff and give them maximum support.

"All individuals on our training courses will now have the added kudos that Maybo's conflict management training is accredited by City & Guilds. This will strengthen continual professional development portfolios and CVs," adds Fox.

The City & Guilds accreditation procedure is rigorous and looks at several aspects of the training and the training provider,
