Welcome to Maybo's twenty second e-newsletter. We have been developing our services and hope that some will be of interest to you. 1. We now have a specialised programme for meeting the needs of all those working with children - from toddlers to teenagers. This looks at approaches to prevent conflict situations escalating, as well as breaking away from grabs or holds, or rescuing a colleague. Importantly the physical intervention training is accredited by the British Institute of Learning Difficulties. For more information visit maybo.com or email tim@maybo.com 2. We have now run a pilot in the licensed retail sector on post incident training. This follows similar courses for ambulance trusts and train companies. Post incident training enables managers to learn how they can minimise the impact of an incident on the individual, colleagues and the organisation. Further information click here or email brian@maybo.com. 3. To support the launch of new SIA and ACPO endorsed guidance on the training and use of physical intervention skills by security staff, Maybo and leading lawyers Weightmans are holding a seminar in Central London on June 14th 2007. The seminar will help security providers and purchasers of services to understand the implications of the new BIIAB/Skills for Security guidance for their organisations. For further information on the seminar and Maybo’s accredited training in physical intervention please email tamara@maybo.com or telephone 01580 881386.
If you would like further information on the licensed programmes or conflict management with children please email tamara@maybo.com or telephone 01580 881346. Regards,
