Maybo: Managing Conflict

Maybo Newsletter

Welcome to Maybo's fifth e-newsletter.

This month we have changed the format to enable you to see at a glance which items are of interest to you, and then click through to our website for the full version.

Qualification available
Maybo's own main news is that we have reinforced our position as UK leader in conflict management by being the first to offer a City & Guilds qualification in conflict management.

The qualification, a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ), has been developed in partnership with City & Guilds. It provides people working in roles where conflict can occur with the knowledge and practical skills they need to protect themselves and their organisation. The qualification will be part of the national framework from February 2005. For further details on the qualification visit the services page of the Maybo website.

Protective vest debate
Many organisations are considering issuing stab or bullet proof vests to frontline staff. Maybo hopes that where they are used that all staff involved do not neglect other personal safety measures.
