Here is some good news for the New Year:-

Research shows Maybo training dramatically reduces challenging behaviour in school.  
A trial at a primary school has shown that classrooms can become calmer places when teachers put into practice the latest conflict management skills.

Following the training in these techniques, designed by conflict resolution specialist, Maybo, the number of incidents of seriously challenging behaviour (that required more than 30 minutes to resolve) dropped by 80% and the number of incidents of physical intervention dropped by more than 80%.

Tim Cooke, a chartered psychologist and Maybo children’s services specialist conducted the study. The project involved collecting data for 10 weeks before and after the training in the form of evaluation sheets, training questionnaires, pupil behaviour measures and informal observations.
