Proven experience and expertise
Maybo helps Adult Services to meet duty of care and regulatory requirements in a way that promotes positive values and behaviours. Our models and learning methods are consistent with the principles of positive behaviour support, focusing on primary and secondary strategies for preventing and de-escalating challenging situations. By building staff confidence and competence, quality of care and life can be improved and risks to staff and service users minimised.
Maybo provides staff with positive strategies to identify and respond to a person's psychological and emotional needs, which may be an underlying cause of their actions. This gives staff the confidence to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviours that represent a risk to safety.
Maybo training is informed by guidance from NHS Protect, Department of Health and Social Care, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, Skills for Health, Royal College of Nursing, BILD and the Restraint Reduction Network.
