Positive behaviour support helpline launched for parents and carers

    BILD aims to provide help while people are living with the challenges of COVID-19

    The British Institute for Learning Disabilities (BILD) has launched a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) helpline, which aims to provide support to families and carers of people with learning disabilities, mental health issues or autistic people, during COVID-19.

    People who are looking for help and support can use the phone line to gain reassurance that they are doing the right thing, talk through ideas and receive practical suggestions.

    The helpline has been funded by the Department of Health and Social Care.

    Any extra help and support is welcomed during these challenging times when the imposing of restrictions and changes to routines can easily become a flashpoint.
