Proven experience and expertise
Staff providing substance misuse services can sometimes find themselves subject to difficult situations as a result of a patient acting unpredictably or exhibiting behaviours of concern.
We provide colleagues with the capabilities and confidence to prevent and de-escalate behaviours that represent a risk to safety, with a person-centred, human rights approach to care that aims to reduce the need to use restrictive practices. This helps to improve the quality of life of service users, supporting people on their journey to recovery.
Maybo provides a balance of training that includes proactive strategies to reduce conflict and risk; alongside reactive strategies to safely manage and de-escalate emotive and risky situations that do arise.
Our physical skills are proven to be gentle and low arousal, yet robust and safe for use with adults, children and older people when required as a last resort.
Maybo was one of the first organisations to evidence compliance with the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) Training Standards and we can offer training Certified by BILD ACT to Services that meet requirements. Our Trainer Training is also Accredited by City & Guilds.
