How are children with autism and special needs coping during the COVID-19 pandemic?

    National charity, Autism Spectrum, has published an insightful article that highlights the main coping strategies used by children with autism and special needs during COVID-19.

    The pandemic has thrown up new challenges for families, including changes in routine, loss of support, reduction in social interaction and COVID-19 itself. Coping strategies include establishing a daily routine, spending time alone and engaging in distracting activities.
